Please note that Group 1 classes may follow a more flexible timetable in order to allow for best use of the playground.

Students will meet in the playground for class line-up. There will be an AICS Primary staff member on duty to supervise the students from 8:30 to 8:45 before school starts. At 8:40 am students need to line up with their class to take register and be escorted inside.

Late Arrivals and Absences for Primary Children

Parents/guardians are responsible for the arrival of their children at the correct time. You will be contacted if your child consistently arrives late. Late arrivals will be recorded and reported to the school truancy officer. If students are not in school, and we have not heard from the parents/ guardians by 9:00 we shall need to contact them to ensure the student’s safety.

After School Clubs

A variety of after school activities are organised every term. Anyone interested in running an after school activity should contact the School Office. You will be informed of these activities in the quarterly Newsletter and/or AICS Weekly. Activities may incur a small fee. Activity choices should be made in preference order.

End of the School Day

Class teachers will personally hand students to their parents/guardians at the end of the school day. Please note that on Wednesday lessons end at 12:15.

Any child who has to leave school for an appointment during school hours must be collected by a parent/guardian who should first report to the School Office.

If parents/guardians allow their children to leave school alone at the end of the school day, a letter of notification should be sent to the School Office and should be renewed annually.

Break times

Students are supervised by class teachers during morning break. At lunchtime, between 12:15 and 13:15, a Lunchtime Supervision Team (LST) will supervise the students while they eat their lunch and play. An additional fee of 240 per school year per child (payable to SKON) will be charged to all Primary parents/guardians for this service. If you are interested in being on the Lunchtime Supervision Team please contact SKON.

Snack and Lunch

Students need to have a snack box with a drink, and a separate lunch box and drink provided from home. Parents/guardians are asked to send healthy foods and avoid sweets, glass containers or fizzy drinks. Please label the boxes and drink containers with your child’s name, and mark clearly which box is for snack and for lunch.
